Services

Costume work from first pattern to final breakdown.

We take commissions from film and television productions, theatre and opera companies, performers and private collectors. Every service below is delivered in our own workroom.

What we make

Six services, one bench-level standard.

Period-accurate costume construction

Full historical builds drafted from surviving garments and pattern books, with era-correct interlinings, hand-worked eyelets and closures.

  • Medieval through mid-20th century
  • Corsetry and understructure
  • Hand finishing on visible seams

Theatrical & futuristic wear

Costumes engineered for repertory: bold silhouettes that read at distance, built to survive quick changes and eight performances a week.

  • Sculpted leather and thermoplastic
  • Quick-change engineering
  • Stage-light-tested finishes

Cosplay & screen recreations

Frame-accurate recreations of screen costumes, matched on fabric, trim and hardware, then fitted to the wearer for comfort over long wear.

  • Screen-matched materials
  • Convention-durable fastenings
  • Travel-safe packing

Pattern cutting & toiles

Pattern drafting and calico toiles for designers and productions who have their own makers but need reliable, movement-tested patterns.

  • 32-point measurement
  • Movement fittings
  • Digitised pattern archive

Dyeing, painting & breakdown

Colour matching, hand-painting and ageing so a costume carries the character's history — mud, wear, salt, smoke or ceremonial polish.

  • Custom colour matching
  • Distressing and ageing
  • Camera and lighting tests

Maintenance, repair & touring support

Repair kits, duplicate builds and on-call support during a run, with patterns and fabric records kept on file for the life of the production.

  • Duplicate and swing costumes
  • Emergency repairs
  • Care and storage guidance

Ways to work with us

Scaled to the production, not to a package.

Costs depend on materials, hand-work hours and schedule. We quote per commission after a short brief, and we say plainly when a deadline isn't realistic.

Single hero costume

6–8 weeks

One fully realised costume with research pack, two fittings and camera-ready finishing.

Production wardrobe

12–16 weeks

Multi-character builds with a scheduled fitting calendar, swing pieces and on-site tech support.

Workroom overflow

By arrangement

Cutting, corsetry or finishing capacity for costume houses working to another designer's drawings.
